Front Page · Therapist Front Page

Reviews of the tools a practice runs on.

Therapist Front Page is a publication for therapists choosing tools. It reviews and compares insurance networks, EHRs, bookkeeping, payroll, and directories, with the evidence behind each verdict marked on every card. No star ratings.

  • Four evidence levels
  • No star ratings
  • Referral links disclosed

Firsthand, or it says soIf there’s no firsthand verdict on a tool, the review says that.

What it is

The comparisons I wanted when I was choosing.

Every practice has to pick a network, an EHR, a way to do books and payroll, and where to be listed. I’ve used Headway, Alma, Rula, and Grow, and the site says which one I’d pick and why. It’s a recommendation with reasons, not a ranking.

There are also plain guides on Medi-Cal enrollment (PAVE), credentialing versus contracting, CAQH, claims, superbills, and billing for associates. For people looking for therapy, there are client guides and a few educational check-ins.

How reviews work

Evidence first, then a verdict.

  1. Evidence level on every card

Four levels show how a verdict was reached. No firsthand verdict? It says so.

  2. Plain comparisons

What a tool does, what it won’t do, and who it fits. No stars, no scores.

  3. Money disclosed

When a link is a referral link, the site says so. You don’t pay extra.

Plainly

What it isn’t.

  • Not therapy, and not a diagnosis. The check-ins are educational.
  • Not Advantage Mental Health, and not Advantage Coaching. If you need a therapist, start at Advantage.
  • Some links are referral links. Mason may receive a commission or credit, and the site says so.
  • If you are in crisis in the US, call or text 988.
